MIT Institute of Design (MITID) has started the application process for admissions to its 4 Year (8 semester) Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programs. MITID is a constituent of "MIT Art Design & Technology University" a self-financed private university in the state of Maharashtra.  MIT stands for Maharashtra Institute of Technology and is a part of the MAEER (Maharashtra Academy of Engineering & Educational Research) society, Pune.  

The Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programs offered are:
(A) Industrial Design
Product Design, Transportation Design, Interior Space & Furniture Design, Retail Design, User Experience Design
(B) Communication Design
Graphic Design, Animation Film Design, Film & Video Design, Game Design
(C) Fashion Design
Fashion Design, Fashion Communication

MITID also offers Collaborative Twinning Programmes wherein students pursue the course abroad for a couple of years or semesters with the collaborated institution. In this the existing curricula may be supplemented by the additional curricula of the collaborated universities. Twinning program for Bachelors Degree can be of 2+2 or 3+1 nature. 

Admission Process:
It is done via two phases:
Phase 1:  MITID-DAT (Design Aptitude Test) conducted at various centres across the country.
Phase 2: Studio Test and Personal Interview at MITID campus in Pune.

The applications need to be filled online and the last date to apply is 28th Feb, 2019.  
MITID DAT is scheduled to be held on 22nd April, 2019.
